Jake is truly what you call an international musician! Following in the footsteps of his Grandfather and Father, Jake is third generation Boyer to take on the career of professional musician.
Born and raised in Louviers, France; Jake first started playing trumpet at age 5. Trumpet being one of the many instruments he has mastered and loves, Jake also plays piano, drums, guitar, trombone, and bass.
In 2016 Jake was accepted into the prestigious Pole Superior School of Music in Paris with a focus on Music Theory, trumpet and teaching. In 2017, Jake was accepted into The Music School of Paris (Conservatoire de Paris) with a focus on Arrangement, composition and Jazz studies.
Jake has been privileged to play in Normandy’s Symphony Orchestra and has performed all around France, Belgium, Germany, England and China.
With the benefits of his dual citizenship, Jake has taken his skills to the United States performing in New Orleans Jazz Festival, Charlotte, NC, and Dallas, Texas just to name a few.
He enjoys focusing on Jazz and prides himself in providing the best techniques for his students to be successful. He has been blessed to have encountered and spent time with talented and respected trumpet players such as James Morrison (Australia) and Allen Vizzutti (US). Jake also had opportunities to studio record with bands such as Gispsy Band (France) and other various bands in different countries.
At "Learn Music With Jake" we love teaching students the best technical approaches and have an emphasis on theory. We like to focus on a preparation for a career as a musician or as a beloved hobby. We like to focus on embracing the joy that comes from creating and/or playing music.
"I have a true love for music and music is my favorite language. Music is universal. We all understand it no matter what country or background we are from. We all are connected by music.” - Jake Boyer
